Remarkable Presence Of Qatar Publishers In DIBF 2023

 
Doha, June 16 (QNA) - A number of Qatari publishing houses is participating in the 32nd edition of the Doha International Book Fair (DIBF), which continues through June 21 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). The Qatari publishers offer a large number of diverse and distinctive titles and books that contribute to enriching the Qatari and Arab libraries, which have become comprehensive in terms of the fiction and none-fiction books. CEO of Roza Publishing House, Aisha Jassim Al Kuwari said in remarks to QNA, that in its 6th participation in the DIBF, Roza Publishing is showcasing 230 publications, of which 85 percent are by Qatari authors, in various fields, including novel, children's and young adults' literature and short stories, in addition to self-development books, pointing out that several of writers and authors will launch their books during the exhibition in the "Rosa Publishing" pavilion. Director of Cultural Affairs and events at Katara Khalid Abdulrahim Al Sayed told QNA that Katara House participates in the exhibition with about 300 titles, in addition to recent publications and various titles, some of which focus on heritage, Arab novels and culture, and more than 22 books on sports and the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 that will be launched on the margins of the exhibition. For his part, Media Spokesperson for the Qatar University Press Ahmed Al Semaini said in remarks to QNA, that the Qatar University Press is participating in the exhibition with more than 60 titles in several different fields, including: law, politics, sociology and Sharia. Munira Saad Al Rumaihi of Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press pointed out that the house participates this year with forty titles, including children's books, novels, politics and history books, explaining the publisher's greater attention to children's books, as well as to Qatari and Qatar resident writers. In turn, Amira Al Rifai, form Dar Al-Watad, told QNA that the house's participation in the current edition of the DIBF features 202 titles, including 47 new releases (novels, research, children's novels, scientific books, law books and children's novels). Dar Al-Watad specializes in publishing and distribution, and it participates every year in the exhibition, she pointed. (QNA)
