Prosthetic Limbs Center in Hadramout Provides Medical services to 291 Beneficiaries in May

Hadhramaut, July 03, 2023 AD, SPA-- The Prosthetic Limbs and Rehabilitation Centre located in the Seiyun district of Hadramout governorate, Yemen, delivered various medical services to 291 Yemeni individuals who had experienced limb loss. This was made possible through the support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).
Under the project, a total of 1,135 services were provided, with 66% of beneficiaries being male and 34% female. Among the beneficiaries, 20% were displaced individuals, while 80% were residents of the region. As part of the services, the centre manufactured and fitted prosthetic limbs for 75 patients, who subsequently received rehabilitation support, including measurement, delivery, and maintenance of the prosthetic limbs. Additionally, the centre provided physical therapy services and specialized consultations to 216 patients.
These services exemplify the Kingdom's ongoing humanitarian efforts, represented by KSrelief, to enhance the healthcare sector's capabilities and alleviate the Yemeni people's suffering.
