27th Edition of Asian Table Tennis Championship Concluded

Doha, July 22 (QNA) - The 27th edition of the Asian Table Tennis Championship, in which 213 male and female players participated from 24 countries, came to a close at the Women's Sports Committee hall in Aspire Zone on Saturday.
The closing competitions witnessed 5 final matches in the categories of singles and doubles U19, and mixed doubles as well.
HE Second Vice-President of the Olympic Committee Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahman Al Kuwari and President of the Qatari, Arab and Asian Federations, First Vice-President of the International Table Tennis Federation Khalil bin Ahmed Al Mohannadi crowned the winners, in the presence of Executive Director of the Asian Union Nabil Al Faqih.
China dominated in the final scene in the singles and mixed doubles competitions by obtaining 3 golds. South Korea managed to win the gold medal for the U19 youth's doubles, and China claimed silver.
Japan also won the gold medal in the U19 women's doubles competition, while South Korea claimed silver. (QNA)
