Ministry of Culture to Participate in Riyadh's Preparatory Meeting of Standing Committee for Gulf Theater Festival

Doha, August 06 (QNA) - The Ministry of Culture, represented by the Theater Affairs Center, will participate in the preparatory meeting of the Standing Committee for the Gulf Theater Festival held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh on Monday.
Director of the Theater Affairs Center Abdul Rahim Al Siddiqui will participate in the meeting, during which the organization of the festival will be discussed, along with a review of the key implementation requirements and the events accompanying the Festival. Additionally, recommendations will be reviewed to contribute to the development of the next session of the event.
The festival relies on presenting multiple theatrical performances accompanied by a variety of cultural and artistic events to exchange experiences and knowledge and encourage intellectual dialogue to promote the theatrical movement among the GCC countries.
The Gulf Theater Festival reflects an image of the reality of the local theater in each Gulf country, the extent of development as the Gulf's most prominent theatrical performances participate, its great contribution to the development of the local and Gulf theatrical movement, and the strengthening of artistic and theatrical ties between the Gulf people.
The Gulf Theater Festival is a cultural and theatrical gathering that takes place every two years, with periodic hosting among the GCC countries. It is an opportunity for participating theatrical groups to come together, exchange discussions and theatrical dialogues and highlight and introduce Gulf talents. It boasts the participation of 400 playwrights, artists, and critics from the GCC and Arab states. (QNA)
