QOC Participates in Annual General Conference of the International Partnership Against Corruption in Sport

Vienna, September 13 (QNA) - The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) participated in the 2023 Annual General Conference of the International Partnership Against Corruption in Sport held at the Headquarters of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Vienna, Austria on Tuesday. The conference was attended by HE Director of the QOC Legal Affairs Department Shiekh Ahmad bin Nooh Al-Thani representing the QOC and Olympic Movement in the state of Qatar alongside other international sports organizations, governments, inter-governmental organizations and other relevant stakeholders. The conference aims to discuss the progress of international work and efforts, enhancing integrity and governance in the sports sector internationally, continentally, regionally and nationally, raise awareness of existing initiatives as well as discuss main issues, challenges and solutions related to tackling corruption in sport. The QOC's participation in the conference reflects its commitment to align with the strong collaboration between the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the UNODC. This collaboration comes as a result of a long-term partnership, which both organizations had previously affirmed during the 4th International Forum for Sports Integrity. (QNA)
