Minister of Foreign Affairs Participates in GCC-US Joint Ministerial Meeting

New York, September 18, 2023, SPA -- The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, participated today in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)-US Joint Ministerial Meeting. The meeting was attended by the ministers of GCC countries, the GCC Secretary-General, Jassem Al-Badaiwi, and the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, on the sidelines of the 78th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York City.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance and develop cooperation between GCC countries and the US in various fields, in addition to discussing developments in regional and international situations and the efforts made in this regard.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of strengthening joint coordination to promote international security and peace and reviewing both sides' efforts to achieve sustainable development goals.
The meeting was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to the US, Reema bint Bandar bin Abdulaziz, the Director-General of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulrahman Al-Dawood, and a number of officials.
