Saudi Arabia Participates in GCC Anti-Corruption Ministerial Committee Meeting in Oman

Muscat, October 29, 2023, SPA -- Saudi Arabia participated today here in the ninth meeting of the Anti-Corruption Ministerial Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) with a delegation led by President of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority Mazen bin Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Kahmous.
The meeting focused on the protection of integrity and combating corruption, which also entailed discussing the accession of GCC, a regional organization, to the UN Convention against Corruption, supporting Saudi Arabia's draft resolution on the global corruption measurement index during the 10th Session of the Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption, which will be held in the US this year, and the importance of the "Riyadh Initiative for Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobeE Network)."
The attendees also reviewed the programs, projects and guidelines that resulted from the meetings of the relevant committees that tackled protecting integrity and combating corruption.
On the sidelines of the meeting, distinguished employees in the agencies responsible for protecting the integrity and combating corruption in the GCC countries for the year 2022 were honored.
