JK-WIN DUO PROMISE TO ABOLISH 'OUTSOURCING' SYSTEM
Karawang, W Java, June 22 (ANTARA) - The Jusuf Kalla - Wiranto (JK-WIN) presidential ticket has promised to abolish the work-contract (outsourcing) system in the country's industrial relations if it wins the upcoming presidential election.
"We disapprove of the outsourcing system so we will abolish it if we are elected," vice presidential candidate Wiranto who is also chairman of the People's Conscience Party (Hanura) said during a dialogical campaign here on Monday.
He said, if elected, he and Jusuf Kalla would look into and reevaluate all laws concerning manpower.
"If the laws disadvantage the people, they must be revised. However, if the weaknesses are found with the human resources, then it is the human resources that have to be improved," Wiranto said.
He said the JK-WIN pair would do its best to serve the people. "Our aim is nothing but to make the people happy because it is the people who hold sovereignty over the state," he added.
Therefore, he said, the JK-WIN duo would continue to provide help and continue to seek find solutions to the various problems being faced by the people.
Jusuf Kalla, chairman of the Golkar Party and incumbent vice president, is competing with two other presidential candidates.
The two other presidential candidates are incumbent President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) of the Democratic Party (PD) and
former president Megawati Soekarnoputri of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP).
SBY is pairing with former Bank Indonesia governor Boediono (SBY-Boediono) while Megawati is running for president with Prabowo Subiyanto of the Greater Indonesia Movement (Gerindra) as her running mate.
The General Elections Commission (KPU) has set schedules for closed door campaigning from June 2 to 10, and mass rallies from June 11 to July 4, 2009. The presidential elections will be held on July 8, 2009.
