Nigerian President Receives the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs

Abuja, October 15, 2023, SPA -- Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently received Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cabinet Member and Climate Envoy Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir and his accompanying delegation for talks on ties between the two countries and ways to develop them to attain further progress and prosperity.
Al-Jubeir conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the Nigerian president and their wishes for further progress and prosperity to the government and people of Nigeria.
President Tinubu sent his greetings and expressions of appreciation for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince, and for the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Al-Jubeir also expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s gratitude and appreciation for Nigeria’s support for the Kingdom’s bid to host the Expo 2030, and for the Nigeria Football Federation’s support to Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the FIFA World Cup 2034.
He also met with the Nigerian foreign minister and discussed issues of mutual interest.
Director-General of the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs' Office Ambassador Khalid bin Musaed Al-Angari, and Saudi Ambassador to Nigeria Faisal Al-Ajrafi attended the meeting.
