KSrelief Signs Joint Agreement to Implement Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation Project for Displaced People in Yemen

Hodeidah, December 12, 2023, SPA -- The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) entered into a cooperation agreement today with a civil society institution to execute a $1 million project focusing on environmental supply and sanitation for displaced individuals in Hodeidah province. KSrelief's Assistant Supervisor General for Operations and Programs Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz signed the agreement at the organization's headquarters in Riyadh.
The project's core objective is to enhance water supplies and sanitation services for those affected by the humanitarian crisis. This will be achieved through the distribution of personal hygiene kits, the construction of 20 portable bathrooms, and ensuring the safety of water tanks. Additionally, the initiative encompasses waste collection and its safe disposal, health education for beneficiaries, and efforts toward environmental preservation.
This endeavor stands as one among many relief projects provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through KSrelief, aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people amidst the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
