Riyadh, December 13, 2023, SPA -- The Saudi Esports Federation (SEF) yesterday announced a new strategic partnership with the Japan Esports Union (JESU), to boost ties and drive human resources development across territories, according to an SEF press release.
SEF and JESU will intensify collaboration and exchange of knowledge to meet aspirations concerning human resources, an area that has become increasingly crucial for advancing the esports industry and fostering continuous improvement, said the release.
The partnership was finalized with a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by SEF President Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al Saud and JESU Chairman Hideki Hayakawa.
Prince Faisal said: “Amidst the incredible synergy between the Saudi Esports Federation and Japan Esports Union, our shared commitment to human resources development is not solely a collaboration, it is a beacon illuminating the path to unlocking the esports industry's full potential. By concentrating our collective efforts and resources on a range of human resources areas in due course, we will make tremendous progress toward redefining what is possible for everybody connected with esports.”
According to the release, the two parties aim to support talent and infrastructure development, and open up new opportunities, thus contributing to increasing competitiveness.
Hayakawa said: “We are pleased to have concluded an MoU regarding human resource development with the Saudi Esports Federation. As esports continues to grow exponentially, human resource development in various fields is an important issue. The Saudi Esports Academy operated by SEF provides an excellent curriculum to produce global esports talent and improve their competitive ability.
