Saudi, Iranian Foreign Ministers Hold Talks on Gaza

Geneva, December 13, 2023, SPA – Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met today with his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, on the sidelines of the Human Rights High-Level Event commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Discussions between the two officials focused on the situation in Gaza Strip, and related developments, and they highlighted the need for the international community to intervene to secure a ceasefire and protect civilians.
They also explored avenues to strengthen cooperation and addressed other regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The meeting was attended by Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Geneva Abdulmohsen Majed bin Khothaila and Director-General of the Foreign Minister's Office Abdulrahman Al-Dawood.
