Kingdom Distinguished in Capacity Building, Stimulating Generative AI, Communications Minister Says

Riyadh, December 13, 2023, SPA -- Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as Group of Twenty (G20) member, is taking the initiative and the lead in generative artificial intelligence (AI) under direct attention and leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Participating in a panel session during the Global Labor Market Conference (GLMC), Al-Swaha noted that the Kingdom's AI portfolio enjoys the full support of HRH the Crown Prince, explaining that the Kingdom is taking the initiative in AI and has adopted a holistic approach that combines the region's first generative AI early-stage accelerator program and the region's largest business accelerator, Garage.
During the session titled, "Rehabilitating Workforce to Address Future Technological Advancements," the minister also highlighted the Kingdom's leadership's keenness in investing in national human resources through skill development programs, which enjoy direct leadership from HRH the Crown Prince.
