UAE President gets verbal message from Yemeni President
Abu Dhabi, June 24, 2009 (WAM) - President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan received yesterday a verbal message from his Yemeni counterpart Ali Abdullah Saleh dealing with bilateral ties and issues of mutual concern. The message was relayed to the President by visiting Yemeni Vice President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi during an audience at Al Bateen Palace. The top Yemeni official arrived here today on a visit to the UAE as part of a Gulf tour.
Sheikh Khalifa was apprised by the Vice Yemeni President on the latest developments in Yemen. The meeting also reviewed adequate ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation in various domains for the best interest of the two brotherly peoples.
A host of regional and international developments of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting. The senior Yemeni official said he was delighted at meeting Sheikh Khalifa and expressed the gratitude of the head of state, government and people of Yemen to the UAE for its proactive assistance and support for Yemen.
