ADB PROVIDES LIPI WITH US$ 20 MILLION FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Jakarta, June 24 (ANTARA) - The Asian Development Bank (ADB) provided a financial assistance of 20 million US dollars to the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) to increase its capabilities and maintain its measuring standards.
Head of LIPI's Metrological Instrument Calibration Research Center Dr Husein Avicenna Akil said in Jakarta Wednesday that the assistance covered a period of three years and in three stages which had already been completed last year.
Husein said LIPI continued developing human resources, to enable them to correctly operate the sophisticated instruments and equipment which had been bought with funds provided by the ADB.
