He Stressed Iraq's Support With Everything It Has For The Palestinian People. Al-Mandalawi Calls From Baku For The Establishment Of A More Just International System

Baghdad / NINA /- The President of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, called on the countries of the world that love peace and goodness to think about establishing a new international system to be approved that would be more just, especially in light of the rapid regional and international changes and the emergence of new challenges that require reconsideration of some policies and strategies serve common issues and interests.

 

In his speech delivered at the fourteenth plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, he expressed the support of Iraq, as a parliament, government and people, with all the strength and capabilities it possesses, for the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, and stressed the relevant international resolutions and the urgent need to launch a process of a new policy that brings the relevant international parties back to the dialogue table and adopts a path that gives renewed hope to the Palestinian people.

 

He said: “Iraq sought to formulate a unified vision as a framework and road map for a national project that allows the integration of Iraq’s specificity with the goals and objectives of sustainable development in the 2030 agenda, which includes (an empowered human being in a safe country, a unified society, a diversified economy, a sustainable environment, justice, and good governance,”. He explained that “Iraq also worked to launch the “Development Road” project, to provide a safe economic corridor for goods and services from Asia to Europe, passing through Turkey,” pointing to the importance of strengthening solidarity and regional cooperation between the countries of the Asian continent to establish security and stability in them and in the world, and to achieve sustainable development suits the people of the region.”

 

The head of the Iraqi parliamentary delegation stressed: “The responsibility that falls on the countries of the whole world, without exception, lies in addressing the crisis situation throughout the occupied Palestinian territories and in the Gaza Strip in particular, and the repercussions of the aggression in Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq and all countries of the region, and the danger that its effects will spread in our countries and the entire world in a way that cannot be controlled,” stating: “The Israeli occupation authorities do not give weight to the United Nations and international law, and that the countries supporting this usurping entity must stop continuing their support for it in compliance with the free will of their peoples, which have not wavered on a daily basis about supporting the Palestinian people."

 

The President of the Arab Parliamentary Union called for rejecting and condemning the repeated aggression against the countries of the region, especially Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Lebanon, and stopping the aggression against the Gaza Strip and working together to establish the rule of law and international legitimacy. /End
