Russian ERS satellite to be launched by end of March — Roscosmos

Data received by the satellite are used to study natural resources, monitor environment pollution and degrading, and control of water and land conservation areas

MOSCOW, March 7. /TASS/. The Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle with the Resurs-P No. 4 Earth remote sensing (ERS) satellite is expected to be launched by the end of this month, the Russian state space corporation Roscosmos said.

"The Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle with the Resurs-P No. 4 spacecraft will be launched in March," the corporation said.

The Resurs-P is the series of Russian satellites designed for Earth remote sensing and for regional and local monitoring of its surface. Data received by the satellite are used to study natural resources, monitor environment pollution and degrading, and control of water and land conservation areas.
