The President Receives Heads And Representatives Of Arab And Islamic Diplomatic Missions, Confirms: Iraq Has Regained Its Pivotal And Influential Role In The Region

Baghdad / NINA /- The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received the heads and representatives of Arab and Islamic diplomatic missions in Iraq.

At the beginning of the meeting, the President welcomed the ambassadors and exchanged congratulations and blessings with them on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, wishing them success and the peoples of their countries peace and security.

The President of the Republic expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the ambassadors to strengthen relations and develop and advance paths of cooperation and joint coordination between Iraq and their countries in light of their mutual keenness to achieve common interests and aspirations.

The President stressed that Iraq has regained its pivotal and influential role in the region through converging views between brotherly and friendly countries, its efforts to establish security, stability and peace regionally and internationally, and its support for the establishment of joint economic and trade projects that benefit the region.

He pointed out that Iraq represents an important investment environment, noting the government's steps in supporting investment and the private sector.

Regarding regional developments, the President of the Republic stressed the need to stop the aggression against Gaza and save the Palestinian people who are facing the most heinous crimes against humanity, stressing that there is no security or stability in the region without granting the Palestinian people their full rights and establishing their state on their land.

For their part, the ambassadors expressed their countries’ support for Iraq’s efforts to establish internal security and stability, and its vital and important role in the region, stressing their countries’ aspiration to strengthen relations and cooperation with Iraq in various fields. /End
