Saudi Islamic Affairs Ministry Launches Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Dates Gift Program in Japan

Tokyo, March 27, 2024, SPA -- The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance today launched at the Kingdom's embassy in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Gift Program for distributing dates in Japan. Attending the event were Saudi ambassador Dr. Ghazi bin Faisal bin Zagr; the director of the Muslim World League (MWL) Office in Japan, Dr. Anas El Malih; the president of the Nadwa Islamic Education Center; the chairman of the Japanese Committee for Ruyat-e-Hilal (moon sighting) Committee, Dr. Salimur Rahman Khan; the president of the Islamic Endowment Society in Japan, Aqeel Siddiqui; and heads of Islamic associations and centers in Japan.
Three tons of dates were distributed, benefiting about 12,000 Muslim men and women. The dates were distributed to mosques and Islamic associations in Japan. The gift is part of the programs implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance during the month of Ramadan in many countries, under the guidance of the wise leadership.
