HRH the Crown Prince Chairs Cabinet Session in Jeddah

Jeddah, March 27, 2024, SPA -- His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, chaired a Cabinet session held in Jeddah on Tuesday.
At the outset of the session, HRH the Crown Prince briefed the Cabinet on the phone call he received from the President of Germany and the outcomes of his meeting with the Prime Minister of Kuwait.
Furthermore, HRH the Crown Prince shared the details of his discussions with the Secretary of State of the United States of America.
During the session, the Cabinet examined the latest developments on the regional and international arenas. It also highlighted the collaborative efforts undertaken by the Kingdom, alongside its regional and global partners, to address the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
The Cabinet reiterated its appreciation for the United Nations Security Council's resolution, which calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza during the blessed month of Ramadan.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the session, Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossary indicated that the Cabinet discussed domestic affairs, indicators of performance in several key sectors, and their contributions to achieving national goals aimed at enhancing progress, prosperity, and continuing the march of development and growth in all aspects.
The Cabinet emphasized the state's ongoing interest in and continuous support for national efforts and initiatives aimed at providing housing for the most needy families in the Kingdom, including working towards achieving the targets of the "Jood Regions" campaign under the "Jood Eskan" platform.
The Cabinet considered the annual day of the Saudi Green Initiative, which falls on Wednesday, March 27, as part of the Kingdom's commitment to environmental issues locally and globally, supporting its approach to leading the green era and climate action.
The Cabinet reviewed the agenda items, including those that the Shura Council participated in studying. It also reviewed the conclusions of the Economic and Development Affairs Council, the Political and Security Affairs Council, the General Committee of the Cabinet, and the Bureau of Experts of the Cabinet regarding their respective matters.
The Cabinet reached the following decisions:
First:
Authorizing the minister of culture, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Tajik side a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the cultural field between the Saudi Ministry of Culture and the Tajik Ministry of Culture.
Second:
Approving a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture and the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in the field of agriculture.
Third:
Approving a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Pakistani Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication for cooperation in the field of communications and information technology.
Fourth:
Approving the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's accession to the Convention of the International Labour Organization on the Promotional Framework for Occupational Safety and Health.
Fifth:
Approving a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the Mauritanian Ministry of Petroleum, Mines and Energy for cooperation in the field of mineral resources.
Sixth:
Authorizing the minister of investment, or a deputy, to discuss and sign with the Tunisian side a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of encouraging direct investment.
Seventh:
Authorizing the minister of investment, or a deputy, to discuss and sign a draft memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Ministry of Investment and the International Finance Corporation (IFC)
Eighth:
Approving a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Space Agency (SSA) and the Egyptian Space Agency (EGSA) in the field of space activities for peaceful purposes.
Ninth:
Approving a memorandum of understanding for cooperation and news exchange between the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) and the Djiboutian News Agency (ADI).
Tenth:
Approving a memorandum of understanding in the field of technical and vocational training between the Saudi Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) and the Singaporean Institute of Technical Education.
Eleventh:
Approving a memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (TRITA) and the Royal Academy of Arts of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the field of traditional arts.
Twelfth:
Approving the (rules for handling requests from public entities to establish companies or participate in their establishment or to establish any entity whose purposes include investment or making profits.)
Thirteenth:
The state continues to bear the entry visa fees for seasonal laborers for the Hadi and Adahi Project for the Hajj Season 1445 AH.
