President al -Assad congratulates President Putin on his auguration as President of Russian Federation

Damascus, SANA- President Bashar al-Assad on Wednesday congratulated President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of his inauguration as President of the Russian Federation for a new six-year term. 

“I congratulate you on your inauguration as President of the Russian Federation, wishing you permanent progress, prosperity and success in your responsibilities and tasks” President al-Assad said in a congratulation cable. 

President al-Assad added: “We are all confident that the next years will bring the Russian Federation, under your leadership and with the will and efforts of the friendly Russian people, more progress, prosperity, and elevation, and together you will be able to confront all challenges, defend your country’s national interests, and preserve its ancient civilization.” 

On Tuesday, President Putin took the constitutional oath as President of the Russian Federation for a new term of six year.
