SRIWIJAYA FC RETAINS SOCCER COPA INDONESIA TITLE
Palembang, S Sumatra, June 29 (ANTARA) - The Sriwijaya FC soccer team retained its success as winner by defeating the Persipura (Papua) soccer team at the "DJI Sam Soe" soccer grand final here on Sunday (June 28).
Sriwijaya FC won the championship by beating Persipura 4-0 after the Papuan soccer team decided a "way out" move, following a red card sanction on a Persipura player at the 60th minute of the second round.
Sriwijaya's first goal was scored by Obiora in the 51st minute of the first half. Sriwijaya was the event champion last year.
In the meantime, coach of Sriwijaya FC, Rahmad Darmawan expressed his satisfaction over his team's victory.
In the meantime, God Bless, a legendary pop music band consisting of Achmad Albar, Donny and Ian Antono Fatah Gideon enlivened the Copa Indonesia "DJI Sam Soe" soccer final event in Jakarta on Sunday.
