Yemen, UK discuss twinning vocational institutes

SANA'A, June 28 (Saba) - Yemen and Britain discussed here on Sunday
possibility of twinning four Yemeni vocational and technical
institutes and British identical institutes in field of English
language and quality of vocational and technical standards

Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Ibrahim
Hajri discussed with Head of the British Council in Yemen Michael
White the cooperation areas in technical and vocational education
field.

The two sides agreed upon executing a training program for trainers
during summer vacation and holding joint workshops during the
current year in fields of inspection, quality and standards to
promote the level of technical and vocational education in various
areas.

The meeting also reviewed topics related to the joint projects
between the council and the ministry in the technical education
field and means of developing them.
