PRESIDENT: GET FAMILIAR WITH INDONESIA`S NATURAL BEAUTY
Sragen, Indonesia, June 30 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono called on Indonesian people to get more familiar with the country's natural beauty to realize their sense of love to their own home land.
The head of state made the call at a function to open Techno Park Ganesha Sukowati manpower training center in Sragen district and Kars Museum in Wonogiri district, Central Java, on Tuesday.
"If the people get more familiar with the Indonesia's natural beauty, their sense of love to their own nation and homeland will be realized. Therefore, try to know more about the nature of Indonesia," the president said.
The Kars Museum, developed by Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry (ESDM) in Wonogiri district, Central Java, displays the natural beauty and underground river in the area.
"Asides from Kars Museum in Wonogiri, the areas of Kebumen Selatan, Bantul, Gunung Kidul, Wonogiri, Trenggalek, and Malang Selatan have typical landscape with caves, lime and other mineral, and underground river," the president said.
Therefore, the head of state asked that the beautiful landscape should be preserved and exploited for tourism and scientific interests.
"I would like to visit the Kars Museum one day in the future," the president said in the company of First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, Coordinating Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs Widodo AS, Manpower and Transportation Minister Erman Suparno, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Central Java Governor Bibit Waluyo, and Sragen district head Untung Wiyono.
Meanwhile, Untung Wiyono said the Ganesha Sukowati Techno Park manpower training center in Sragen was aimed at implementing research, providing trainings and promoting self-reliance as well as cooperation in order to produce skilled workers and better products and services.
He said the training center will establish cooperation with people from various sectors such as banking, investment, trade and tourism.
The 20-ha-large training center will provide training programs concerning international languages, information and communication technology, applied business, tourism services, agricultural technology, technicals, industry and education.***
