FM heads Iraqi delegation to extraordinary meeting of OIC foreign ministers in Jeddah

Baghdad /NINA/ -Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein headed the delegation of the Republic of Iraq participating in the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which was held at the organization's headquarters in Jeddah.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that: "The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Cameroonian Foreign Minister Lugen Mbela Mbela, in his capacity as Chairman of the 50th session of the Ministerial Council, and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Gambia Mamadou Tangara, Chairman of the 15th Islamic Summit, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Hussein Ibrahim Taha, and the Foreign Ministers of the member states."
According to the statement, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Riyadh, Safiya Talib Al-Suhail, and the Head of the Department of International Organizations and Conferences at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fadhel Al-Rahim, in addition to the Permanent Representative of Iraq to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Muhammad Samir Al-Naqshbandi, participated in the meeting.
The meeting discussed the draft resolution on Syria's return to its seat in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in addition to a draft resolution on the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, annexation and displacement plans, and the reconstruction of Gaza, where consensus was reached on them./End
