The Minister of Planning Discusses Available Investment Opportunities with a Delegation from the US-Iraq Business Council

Baghdad /NINA/ -Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Planning, Mohammed Ali Tamim, discussed today, Wednesday, with a delegation from the US-Iraq Business Council the investment opportunities available in the country across various sectors. A statement from the Ministry of Planning stated that the Minister of Planning received a delegation from the US-Iraq Business Council, which included a number of businessmen, investors, and representatives of American companies.
During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the investment opportunities available in Iraq, particularly in the energy, housing, communications, tourism and hospitality sectors, agriculture and water resources, infrastructure, and the localization of the pharmaceutical industry, as well as investment in climate change.
The Minister called on American companies to "take advantage of the available investments as strong competitors to other international companies that are showing a strong desire and willingness to invest in Iraq, in light of the significant facilities provided by the Iraqi investment law, as well as the government's support for investment in various fields."
According to the statement, the delegation members confirmed "the genuine desire of American investment companies to invest in Iraq," noting that "these companies have the capabilities that qualify them to operate and invest in advanced forms and methods in the fields of education, housing, the pharmaceutical industry, and other development and investment sectors." /End
