PM Received The Head Of The Russian Lukoil Company

Baghdad /NINA/ -Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani stressed the need to expedite the completion of projects related to the West Qurna and Eridu oil fields by the Russian company Lukoil.
The Prime Minister's media office stated in a statement: "Al-Sudani received, today, Wednesday, the President of the Russian joint-stock company Lukoil, Vagit Alekperov, in the presence of the Russian ambassador to Baghdad and a number of company officials in Iraq and the Middle East."
Al-Sudani was briefed on the company's vision and work to develop production in both the West Qurna field in Basra Governorate and Eridu field, which is shared between the governorates of Dhi Qar and Muthanna. He stressed the need to expedite the completion of projects related to these fields in order to provide crude oil and natural gas, which will be supplied to power plants.
The company reviewed the most prominent problems and challenges hindering the implementation of its projects in Iraq, and the Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Oil to address them and take the necessary decisions regarding them./End
