The National Center for International Judicial Cooperation participates in the European Network meeting in The Hague

Baghdad / NINA /- The National Center for International Judicial Cooperation participated in the 37th annual meeting of the European Network for the Investigation and Prosecution of Genocide, Crimes against Humanity, and War Crimes.

According to a statement by the Supreme Judicial Council, the Center's President, Ali Hussein Jaffat, attended the meeting at the official invitation of the European Union Network for Criminal Justice Cooperation (Eurojust). This meeting serves as a central platform for exchanging best practices and enhancing coordination between competent national authorities in the investigation and accountability of serious international crimes.

In a related development, the Head of the National Center for International Judicial Cooperation visited the network's headquarters in The Hague and discussed with its President, Michael Schmid, frameworks for enhancing legal cooperation and exchanging expertise, particularly in the areas of mutual legal assistance and coordinating efforts in cases with a cross-border dimension. He emphasized the importance of building effective communication channels between the two parties as a mechanism for communication between Iraq and EU countries in the field of criminal justice./ End
