Top Russian diplomat, Laos deputy prime minister discuss trade, economic cooperation
MOSCOW, April 22. /TASS/. Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Laos Deputy Prime Minister Saleumxay Kommasith held talks on prospects of enhancing bilateral relations with a focus on the two countries’ interaction in the trade and economic spheres, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated on Tuesday.
"The parties discussed the current state and prospects of strengthening bilateral relations with a focus on practical cooperation in the trade, economic and humanitarian spheres. The sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interest on the regional and global agenda," the ministry said in a statement following Lavrov’s meeting with the Laos deputy prime minister which took place in Moscow on April 21.
The conversation was held in a friendly and trusting atmosphere typical of Russian-Lao relations, the ministry added.
