The President Affirms Iraq's Support For All Efforts Aimed At Consolidating The Principles Of Dialogue And Regional Understanding

Baghdad /NINA/-President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid affirmed Iraq's support for all efforts aimed at consolidating the principles of dialogue and regional understanding.

The Presidency stated in a statement: "The President met today, Wednesday, with a delegation from the European Peace Institute, headed by the Institute's Executive Director in Brussels, Michael Keating."

The delegation presented to the President the results of the initiative being pursued by the Institute, which includes the Gulf states, Iraq, and Iran, with the aim of promoting dialogue, rapprochement, and cooperation between countries.

The President affirmed Iraq's support for all efforts aimed at consolidating the principles of dialogue and regional understanding, and his belief in the necessity of building partnerships that serve the common interests of countries and enhance security and stability in the region.

For his part, Michael Keating expressed his appreciation for the President's efforts to promote stability and openness to Iraq's Arab and regional surroundings./End
