The Hajj Commission calls on pilgrims to avoid anything that might disturb the Hajj rituals

Baghdad /NINA/ -The Supreme Hajj and Umrah Commission called on Sunday on citizens eligible to travel to the holy sites to avoid anything that would disturb the Hajj ritual.

In a statement, the Commission stated that "Hajj is a great religious occasion that brings together Muslims from all over the world, and its spirituality and unity must be treated with respect and appreciation. It stressed the need for citizens eligible to travel to the holy sites to refrain from chanting slogans or raising political or sectarian slogans, and to avoid wearing clothing or raising pictures, flags, or symbols that carry political or sectarian connotations."

The Commission noted the need to "avoid taking photos of religious and political figures and individuals in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, and to avoid publishing offensive material on social media, as well as not exploiting the rituals to spread political or inflammatory ideas, or to call for opposition or pro-opposition movements."

The Commission warned pilgrims against "carrying prohibited items while traveling by land or air, including banned narcotic drugs, cigarettes, hookahs, jewelry, and exceeding the permitted limit for cash."

The commission called on pilgrims to "not shelter or assist in transporting persons who do not hold an official Hajj permit, as this exposes them to severe financial penalties, imprisonment, and future denial of entry to the Holy Land."

It emphasized "the importance of cooperating with Hajj authorities in enforcing Hajj regulations and plans, avoiding anything that causes animosity and hatred toward pilgrims of all nationalities and sects, and refraining from inciting discussions about controversial fatwas among sects."

The commission noted that "these warnings aim to ensure that Iraqis perform Hajj rituals with ease and peace, and to prevent them from being quarantined or deported from performing Hajj rituals due to their violation of the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia." / End
