AZERI MINISTER OF INDUSTRY AND ENERGY MEETS UAE FM

Baku, July 10 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan have today discussed prospects for boosting overall cooperation between the two countries.
Aliyev spoke of Azerbaijan`s achievements in oil and gas industry. He said Azerbaijan supports the activity of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), stressing the country has adopted a State Program on Use of Alternative and Renewable Energy Resources.
“Azerbaijan is learning the experience of various countries and is cooperating with international organizations. The cooperation with United Arab Emirates in this field can also be fruitful,” the minister added.
Aliyev also expressed confidence the visit by the UAE FM would contribute to “expanding the Azerbaijan-UAE relations”.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the cooperation between the two countries.
He said the UAE attaches particular emphasis on boosting cooperation with Azerbaijan in applying alternative and renewable energy resources.
