António Guterres: The UN Is Working To Achieve Peace In Various Regions, Including Palestine, Gaza, Lebanon, And Sudan

Baghdad/NINA/- UN Secretary-General António Guterres affirmed that the United Nations is working to achieve peace in all regions, including Palestine, Gaza, Lebanon, and Sudan.

He said in a press conference that “what was achieved today at the Arab Summit in Baghdad reflects the active and fruitful presence of all Arab countries cooperating to serve their peoples and their region towards a better future.”

He added: I am pleased with the positive developments that have taken place in Iraq, and we must unite to confront any crises.

He continued that the crises in Syria require the cooperation of all parties and factions, and what is happening to some groups requires effort and understanding to ensure the rights of all to live in peace without marginalization or exclusion.

He said: We condemn any action that might result in the displacement of the population of Gaza, and we condemn any action that violates their rights. We will continue our humanitarian work to assist Gaza and all regions. /End
