The President Of The Republic Stresses The Need To Benefit From The Experiences Of Advanced Countries In Opening And Establishing Universities

Baghdad/NINA/-President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid stressed the need to benefit from the experiences of developed countries in opening and establishing universities.

The Presidency of the Republic said in a statement, "President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received today, Thursday, at Baghdad Palace, the President of the American University in Baghdad, Dr. Michael William Mullenx, and his accompanying delegation."

The President stressed the need to benefit from the experiences of developed countries in opening and establishing universities on solid scientific foundations. He also emphasized that academic development and updated curricula that keep pace with scientific developments are essential for progress and support for the comprehensive development movement in the country. He praised the efforts of the teaching staff at the American University and their contributions to graduating qualified students, as well as the teaching methods adopted by the university and the modern curricula taught to students.

For his part, the President of the American University expressed his thanks to the President of the Republic for his interest in developing the academic, scientific, and humanitarian reality in Iraq. Dr. Mullenx also extended an invitation to the President to attend the official reception ceremony for the graduation of the first batch of students from the American University. /End
