The Foreign Ministry Denies Allegations that FM Fuad Hussein Conveyed a Message From Trump to Iran

Baghdad / NINA /-The Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied rumors that Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein conveyed a message from US President Donald Trump to Iran.
The Ministry said in a statement that it had reviewed a report recently published on a website and circulated by some media outlets, under the title "Trump gives Iran two weeks to withdraw its militias from Iraq."
It added: "The report claimed that Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein conveyed a message from US President Donald Trump to the Iranian leadership regarding the issue."
It stressed: "What was stated in the report is not based on any official source and is an example of unprofessional media practice aimed at disseminating false and misleading information and influencing public opinion through a systematic attempt to distort Iraq's image."
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed: "Official statements and declarations issued by the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are the only reliable source for any information related to Iraq's foreign policy, based on the principles of transparency and respect for international law." / End
