Air India Bomb Threat Prompts Emergency Landing at Phuket Airport

PHUKET, June 13 (TNA) - Phuket International Airport is set to hold a press conference today regarding an Air India flight that made an emergency landing due to a bomb threat.

Flight AI 379, carrying 156 passengers, departed from Phuket bound for New Delhi, India, but had to return. Phuket Airport initially issued a statement indicating that at approximately 9:30 AM, Air Traffic Control was notified by the pilot about a bomb threat message found on the aircraft during the flight.

The airport immediately activated its emergency response plan, bringing the aircraft down safely. Passengers from the affected flight were directed to Gates 81-82 for security screening.
