Buraidah Carnival Showcases Qassim's Dates Industry

Buraidah, August 01, 2025, SPA -- Buraidah Dates Carnival, organized by the National Center for Palms and Dates and the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, started today.
The event, supervised by the Qassim Principality, will run until October 9 and feature more than 100 varieties of Qassim dates from local farmers and traders.
In addition to date sales, the carnival offers a wide range of activities and events, including processing industries, family-run businesses, palm-related handicrafts, heritage and poetry evenings, and performances by folk groups. The carnival also includes a dedicated area for children and drawing, with numerous events targeting all segments of society.
The event's significance is underscored by its previous success, with last year's sales reaching SAR3.2 billion. The carnival attracted over 800,000 visitors, and an average of 2,000 vehicles transported dates daily.
