BULGARIAN NATIONAL RADIO WISHES TO COOPERATE WITH RRI
London, July 14 (ANTARA) - Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) has expressed a wish to cooperate with Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) in a bid to enhance close relations between RI and Bulgaria.
The BNR's expectation came up when Indonesian ambassador to Bulgaria, Immanuel Robert Inkiriwang and his staffers visited the radio station last week, Aditya Timoranto, third secretary of the embassy told Antara in London on Tuesday.
On the occasion, the ambassador was received by BNR's director general, Valeri Todorov, who was accompanied by the radio's executives including Hristo Botev and Pauliana Novakova.
The ambassador also underlined the importance of cooperation between the two radios in an effort to strengthen the 53-year bilateral ties.
The cooperation can be accelerated if the people of the two countries know each other better, the ambassador said.
In this case, the radios play an important role, the envoy said, adding that the embassy was ready to supply more information to the BNR about the Indonesian people, so that the Bulgarians know more about Indonesia and its people.
In his response, the BRN director general has agreed that
Indonesian traditional music and songs be broadcast for 30 minutes.
In addition, Aditya Timoranto said that during the visit, ambassador Immanuel Robert Inkiriwang in an interview held by the BNR radio also wished to boost the cooperation in the field of the economy including trade, investment and tourism.
The BNR, established in 1930 with ten radio stations, has two national channels namely Horizon and Hristo Botev, besides an international channel.
The international channel released its programs in 11 languages namely Bulgarian, Russian, English, German, French, Spanish, Serbian, Greek, Albanian, Turkish and Arabic.
The BNR also operates in all frequencies (MW, FM and SW), the spokesman added. ***
