Britain's Falconry Farm Showcases Initial Batch of 40 Birds at IFBA 2025

Riyadh, August 20, 2025, SPA -- Border Falcons, a falconry farm from Britain, entered the International Falcon Breeders Auction (IFBA) 2025 with an initial batch of 40 falcons. The event, organized by the Saudi Falcons Club, is currently underway at its headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, and will run until August 25.
This year marks the farm’s second participation, having entered last year with around 60 falcons, according to owner Jeff Armstrong. He noted that the 40 birds were the first shipment to arrive, with a second batch expected in the coming two days.
Armstrong attributed his delay in attending the auction to the young age of some birds, which were not yet ready to travel, leaving him no choice but to stay with them. He also shared that for future auctions, he plans to take a different approach by accompanying the first batch of falcons with his wife and daughter.
He praised the significant efforts made by the club to support participating falcon breeders, including facilitating transportation and lodging and providing continuous care for the falcons throughout the auction.
The IFBA is recognized as the largest of its kind worldwide, bringing together elite falcon breeds from around the globe and serving as an annual destination for falconers and breeders. It highlights the club's notable role in preserving the heritage of falconry and supporting the falcon production industry, while also enhancing the Kingdom’s status as a global hub for falcons and falconers.
