Armenian security chief meets with Araghchi

Tehran, IRNA – Secretary of Armenia's Security Council Armen Grigoryan has met with Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during his visit to Tehran.
Grigoryan was received by Araghchi at the Foreign Ministry on Saturday evening, where the two officials discussed various issues of mutual interest.
“During the meeting, the parties attached importance to the continuity of Armenia-Iran bilateral contacts based on mutual respect and trust. The parties also discussed the latest regional developments and emphasized the importance of preserving peace,” Grigoryan’s office said in a press release.
Earlier, the top Armenian security official held separate meetings with President Masoud Pezeshkian, his Iranian counterpart, Ali Larijani, and Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi. The talks focused on bilateral and regional developments.
The presence of the United States in Armenia for the purpose of constructing a planned corridor connecting two parts of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been one of the most important topics in recent meetings between the officials of the two countries.
