Iraq’s FM Chairs Arab League Ministerial Committee Meeting in Cairo

Baghdad / NINA / -Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein chaired today, Thursday, the meeting of the Committee for Following Up on the Implementation of Ministerial Resolutions and Commitments, held at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Hussein opened the session by expressing his gratitude to the Secretary-General of the Arab League and the member states of the committee, praising the efforts made in monitoring and implementing the adopted resolutions.
The statement added that the meeting reviewed the committee’s semi-annual report, which included the recommendations prepared by the Permanent Representatives during their preparatory meeting on September 1, 2025, in addition to the report related to paragraph (34) presented by the Secretary-General.
It also noted that the recommendations were endorsed based on the deliberations of the Permanent Representatives. Minister Hussein concluded the session by stressing the important role of the General Secretariat in supporting the work of the committee, extending his thanks to both the Secretary-General and the Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League. /End
