Saudi Team Earns Medals in Debut at European Junior Olympiad in Informatics 2025 

   Shumen, September 4, 2025, SPA -- The Saudi informatics team achieved a major international milestone in its first-ever participation at the European Junior Olympiad in Informatics 2025 in Bulgaria. Student Fares Al-Raddadi won a bronze medal, while Ahmed Al-Hussein received a certificate of appreciation. This marked the Kingdom's successful debut in the competition with two awards.
   This participation is part of the Mawhiba International Olympiads Program, which is implemented by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education. The achievement reflects the Kingdom's commitment to nurturing young talent and preparing a generation capable of competing globally in science and technology, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
   The European Junior Olympiad in Informatics is an annual programming competition that aims to encourage students to develop their skills in technology and competitive programming. The competition also works to discover and foster young talent from an early age, preparing a generation to excel in the global digital economy.
