Bishkek, Sept. 5, 2025 /Kabar/. In January-June 2025, 8.1 thousand people arrived in Kyrgyzstan for permanent residence, while 1.4 thousand people left. Such data were announced by the National Statistical Committee.
Thus, the migration increase amounted to 6.7 thousand people, which is significantly higher than the figure for the same period in 2024 (4.1 thousand people).
According to the department, compared to January-June of last year, there is an increase in the intensity of arrival and migration growth, while the level of departure, on the contrary, has decreased. An increase in the volume of intra-republican migration of the population has also been recorded.
The highest level of arrival for external migration is observed in the city of Osh, Bishkek and the Chui region. The lowest rates are in the Naryn region.
Thus, the statistics indicate an increase in the attractiveness of the republic for migrants and the ongoing processes of population redistribution within the country.
