Iraq, Iran Discuss Prospects For Cooperation In The Oil, Gas, And Energy Sectors

Baghdad /NINA/- Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul Ghani, received today, Saturday, a high-level delegation from the Iranian Ministry of Oil to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of oil, gas, and energy.
The Ministry of Oil said in a statement that the Iranian delegation, headed by Deputy Minister of Oil, Head of the Oil Pension Funds, Hossein Hossein Zadeh, included Deputy Minister for Iraqi Affairs Abbas Beheshti, Acting Director General for Asia, Africa, and Oceania at the Ministry of Oil, Soleiman Qasemian, as well as Director General of the Dehloran Petrochemical Complex, Javad Kamari.
The statement added that the meeting, attended by the Deputy Minister of Oil for Extraction Affairs, Basim Mohammed Khudair, focused on prospects for cooperation between Iraq and Iran in various energy sectors and on ways to further develop relations in the interests of both neighboring countries./ End
