PM Meets Turkish President Erdoğan to Discuss Regional Security and Bilateral Cooperation

Baghdad / NINA/ - Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani met on Monday with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the sidelines of the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit held in Doha, Qatar.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office, the meeting discussed regional developments and ways to enhance security and stability, emphasizing the importance of joint Arab and Islamic action to curb ongoing violations and attacks by the Israeli entity against the Palestinian people in Gaza and other Arab countries, including the recent assault on Qatar.
The two leaders also discussed prospects for developing bilateral relations in various fields, with Al-Sudani expressing his gratitude to President Erdoğan for his cooperation regarding the water crisis affecting Iraq and the region.
For his part, President Erdoğan praised Iraq’s active role in resolving regional crises and its commitment to the security of neighboring and friendly countries, particularly its support for the peace agreement between Turkey and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK)./ End
