SDAIA Information Center Director Says AI to Contribute $19.9 Trillion to Global Economy by 2030

   Lisbon, September 24, 2025, SPA -- Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) National Information Center (NIC) Director Dr. Esam bin Abdullah Alwagait stated that artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to contribute $19.9 trillion to the global economy by 2030, emphasizing that this ambitious direction reinforces the Kingdom’s position as an international model for leveraging advanced technologies for sustainable development.
   His remarks came during a visual presentation delivered by Dr. Alwagait on Tuesday at the reception hosted by the Saudi embassy in Lisbon, Portugal, to mark the 95th National Day.
   He emphasized that the Kingdom is confidently advancing its leadership in the field of data and AI in line with the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030, positioning itself among the top ranks in global AI-related indicators.
   The event was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Portugal Prince Saud bin Abdulmohsen bin Abdulaziz, along with officials from the Portuguese government and accredited ambassadors from brotherly and friendly countries.
