Al-Sudani Affirms Iraq's Keenness to Strengthen Bilateral Relations With Lebanon

Baghdad / NINA /- Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani affirmed Iraq's keenness to strengthen relations with brotherly Lebanon in all fields.

A statement from his media office stated that al-Sudani received, on Thursday, the Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to Iraq, Ali al-Habhab, on the occasion of the end of his term.

According to the statement, al-Sudani praised the efforts of the Lebanese ambassador during his tenure in Iraq, stressing Iraq's keenness to strengthen and develop bilateral relations with brotherly Lebanon in all fields for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.

Al-Sudani indicated Iraq's full support for the Lebanese state's efforts to overcome the current circumstances, and to work to consolidate Lebanon's security, prevent aggression against it, and enhance its stability, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

For his part, the Lebanese ambassador expressed his appreciation for the positions of Iraq, its government and people, and the support and assistance Lebanon has received at various levels and in international and regional forums, which reflect the depth of the shared historical ties between the two countries. / End
