At the Int'l Conference On Al-Hol Camp, The President said: Iraq Has Suffered For A Long Time From Terrorism And Crimes That Have Affected Various Sects

Baghdad /NINA/- President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid affirmed that Iraq has long suffered from terrorism and the crimes that have affected all its communities, noting that Al-Hol camp issue remains one of the most complex challenges.

In his speech at the International Conference on Al-Hol Camp, the President said that Iraq has made a courageous decision to repatriate its citizens from the camp, which hosts more than 10,000 terrorists from various nationalities.

He added that the government has developed a comprehensive plan to ensure the reintegration and rehabilitation of returnees, pointing out that 34 countries have already repatriated their nationals from the camp, including Iraq, while citizens from six other countries remain.

Rashid further explained that Iraq has so far repatriated 4,915 families, which is equivalent to 18,880 individuals, from Al-Hol camp. /End
