Production Revitalized in Mining Industry of DPRK

 Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the mining industry are making a breakthrough in revitalizing production by enhancing their own scientific and technological capabilities.
The Unpha Mine has secured large quantities of ores by applying efficient mining methods while conducting a technical innovation campaign for rehabilitating the flooded drifts and increasing the operation rate of the air power loader.
The workers and technicians of the Hyesan Youth Mine introduced a new technology to save a lot of reagents and raise the quality index of concentrated ore.
The Riwon Mine has carried out its production plan by applying rational drilling and blasting methods capable of considerably reducing the time for removing gas caused by blasting. The Inphyong Youth Mine, the Sijung Mine and the Kamuri Mine are also bringing about good results by ensuring the full operation of the drainage system and concentrating efforts and means on expanding the cutting faces.
The workers of the Munphyong Smeltery are increasing production by putting technical management of equipment on a scientific basis, raising the extraction rate, utilizing locally-available raw materials and recycling waste materials. -0-
