Bishkek, Sept. 30, 2025 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev attended the meetings of the CIS Heads of Government Council in narrow and expanded formats.
Speaking at the meeting Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that this year, CIS member states are widely celebrating the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Throughout the year, a number of commemorative events and memorial activities were organized, and important statements were adopted at the global and regional levels, thereby reaffirming a unified and unwavering position regarding its historical significance.
In his speech, the head of the Kyrgyz Cabinet outlined the consistent development of cooperation within the CIS. Last year, the combined GDP of CIS countries accounted for 4.4% of global GDP, and mutual trade volume reached $7 billion in the first half of 2025.
"From January to June 2025, the Kyrgyz Republic's foreign trade turnover with the CIS countries amounted to $2.73 billion, including exports of $602.1 million and imports of $2,132.6 million."
"These indicators clearly demonstrate that the Commonwealth is in a phase of active development, increasing business activity and expanding the horizons of mutually beneficial cooperation, creating a unified economic space," he said.
Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan supports deepening cooperation in a number of priority areas, including: developing multimodal transport corridors; simplifying trade procedures; creating joint ventures; and promoting e-commerce.
He noted that special attention must be paid to supporting cooperation projects and expanding interaction within the CIS.
Furthermore, the head of the Cabinet noted that, against the backdrop of climate change and declining natural resources, renewable energy is becoming a strategic priority. Kyrgyzstan is taking measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase generation from environmentally friendly sources.
Digital transformation is becoming increasingly important.
"The projects submitted for consideration today form the strategic agenda for our future cooperation.
Their timely and high-quality implementation will allow us to fully unlock the potential of economic cooperation, enhance the competitiveness of our economies, and improve the well-being of our citizens.
The Kyrgyz Republic remains committed to active and constructive participation in all CIS integration initiatives and is ready to further strengthen multilateral ties based on the principles of mutual respect and mutual benefit," he said.
